Alright y’all. We’ve all been there. Saying/writing nasty, unforgiving things to ourselves. Words we wouldn’t even dream of calling our friends, family or pets. So why do we do it to ourselves? I’ve come to the realization that:
The words you say to yourself, the ones you write in journals, whisper in passing, or repeat in your head. THEY MATTER.
In fact, they’re shaping your reality. Word by word, thought by thought, you’re building the narrative of your life. But, not in a way you should be.
I’ve learned (sometimes the hard and messy way) that the way we talk to ourselves can either keep us stuck in fear… or open us up to something so much bigger. The wild part? It doesn’t have to sound perfect. It just has to feel real and come from the heart. I’m not saying to go look into a mirror and lie to yourself. You know what your capable of and you can accomplish it. You’ve just got to stop embedding your subconscious with the wrong words.
Speak Like You Love Yourself – AS YOU SHOULD!! 🙂
So many of us are kind to others and cruel to ourselves and it becomes the soundtrack of our day. I am so good at hyping others up, helping them grow and saying affirming words to them about themselves. Yet I catch myself saying:
“I’m not doing enough.”
“I’ll never catch up.”
“I’m lazy”“I’ll never get out of this slump”
And when those words repeat enough, they start to feel like facts. But, what if we gently swapped them for something softer, something more true to the version of ourselves we’re trying to grow into? Like,
“I’m allowed to move at my own pace.”
“I’m learning as I go, and that’s okay.”
“I am already enough — right now.”“I am out of this slump”
Self-talk isn’t just some feel-good fluff. It’s real, and it’s powerful. The way we speak to ourselves actually shapes our brain. It impacts how we show up, what we believe we’re capable of, and the choices we make every single day. You’re literally training your mind what to believe, and over time, those beliefs become your habits, your patterns, your reality.
And I get it, speaking kindly to yourself doesn’t always come naturally. Especially when you’re in a tough season or running on empty. But here’s a gentle place to start: each morning, say one kind sentence to yourself. Just one. Out loud. In the mirror. Even if it feels awkward. Even if you don’t fully believe it yet. Because it’s like planting a little seed and every time you show up and water it with grace, it grows. And so do you. 🌱
Write It Down, Watch It Grow and Glow ✨
There’s something sacred and magical about writing things down. Pen to paper. Thought to page. It’s like your inner world finally gets a voice and that voice starts shaping what’s real.
I didn’t start to journal with some big plan. I just needed a space to get the chaos out of my head. But over time, I realized… I wasn’t just releasing thoughts. I was quietly writing my next chapter. The things I wrote, the hopes I scribbled down, the feelings I dared to name. They would start showing up in my life. Last but not least, it is amazing to go back and see what all you have overcome and done by your entries. We all get stuck in the future, we need to realize what we have accomplished already!
Because what you write, you give attention to. And what you give attention to? It grows.
Even 5 minutes a day can shift your mindset. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Just honest. Just you.
Want an easy place to start? I’ve got you.

🌙 Manifesting Isn’t Magic. It’s a Habit.
Manifestation isn’t about pretending life is perfect.
It’s about getting your energy, your words, and your choices in sync with what you actually want. It’s showing up like it’s already on the way. Even if it’s not all here yet.
You don’t need to whisper affirmations by candlelight (unless you’re into that lol I totally am 🙋♀️).
You just need to get real with yourself. Speak what you want out loud. Write it down. Own it. It’s all about being on the right path of love and faith. That’s when the magic of manifestation happens.
✨ If you need a push, the Mel Robbins Power of Manifestation episode on Spotify is SO good. Please check it out if you haven’t!!
Here’s what I want you to remember:
You’re not just living your life, you’re narrating it.
And you get to choose how that story sounds.
Let your words be loving. Let your journal entries be bold. Let your mirror talk be rooted in grace. Let your dreams be written down like they already belong to you.
Because the truth is: they do.
🌞 From My Heart to Yours
If you’ve ever felt stuck, behind, not good enough, know you’re not alone.
But know this too: you are always one new sentence away from a softer, stronger version of your life.
Word by word. Day by day.
You’re writing, speaking, and manifesting something beautiful.
