You ever feel like your darkest days will consume your brightest ones? I know we have all been there. Its the job we were working towards for so long didn’t pan out, to the friends you thought that were going to be by your side just as you were by theirs, to the company you thought you would be at for years, but end up knowing you have to leave to be able to grow?
I could sit here and name off “thousands” of ways our sunnier days turn into darker ones but why let those dark moments, thoughts, feelings, etc ruin what is in the making for you? — Well here I am to tell you, all of those negative things that happened to you create ways to open so much more positive in your life than you know. You just have to shift your mindset. (Which yes, I know it’s easier said than done.) In this post, I am going to share with you a few ways I turned my negative circumstances into positive ones 🙂 — Thank you for joining my KatTalk ❤

I was sitting there at my office, I had been there now almost a year. In real estate, everyone always says “you may have to try a couple of brokerages until you find “the one.” I stepped into my first brokerage and I felt it was the one. The vibe was so pure, people were so welcoming and friendly. No one would turn a cold shoulder to you, now the only unfortunate thing with where I began, is they don’t provide you with any leads. It’s all organic, they do provide other things, don’t get me wrong. The things that they did provide for new agents helped me grow my name and so many others as well! So I am truly thankful for that, I just knew if I wanted to make more $ & be able to get more leads to help me generate clientele in the beginning of my career that I would have to leave my current brokerage — It took me a couple weeks to take a step back from real-estate. When I say that though, I mean, I had to stop going into my office and start exploring other options. I knew my old brokerage couldn’t truly give me what I needed. Even though from the front desk girls to the BIC, they were all so heart warming, welcoming and never said they couldn’t help you. I just knew to get where I needed to be, I needed to just stick my toes in the water & check some other places out.
I was going through so many changes at once, leaving a job, moving into a new home, about to start working a side hustle — as I like to call it — as a server with Taco Boy on Folly Beach Sc. I knew it could help me make more money to make sure my bills were paid, while trying to find another broker. Taco Boy & serving is deff next level & if anyone is on here from TB right now. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!! I swear, I’ve never met more strong willed people in my life & more humble. You have been such an amazing team & will always hold a special place in my heart. ❤ I have had such a great time working out there & it has opened me up to a whole new world of Real Estate now! — Anyways, I had been praying to god/universe & my parents for weeks asking them to put the right brokerage in front of me. The next day, I get a message from an old coworker (who was now a real estate agent for the past couple of years), Madison , she needed some help, but I was unfortunately out of town and couldn’t help her at the moment. I did realize though, she was with a brokerage named “Rainbow Row Real Estate” which is honestly the best name for any brokerage in Charleston. I just has to ask her about how it was, if they were bringing anyone on, etc. She had told me they were looking to add more agents & that I should set up a time to speak with her BIC.
Now trust me, it took me a week to reach out. Wanna know why? Change is freaking scary, I was used to being with the same broker and the same office and the same people daily I was a little nervous to step out of my comfort zone. Until, one day I woke up & was like, “Alli, WTF?” I knew it felt right to meet with them, so I finally reached out & thank goodness I did. A week later I was changing my license, taking headshots by rainbow row DT charleston, getting leads left & right and finally feeling like my career was & is in the right direction. I absolutely love Jared & his Wife Erin, they own this Brokerage with only a handful of great agents & i’m thankful for that. Jared sits in a lot of meetings for the City, and always there when we need him & never makes a question feel like it was dumb. He constantly is teaching us, sending leads & giving agents an opportunity to truly grow.
So the next time you are sitting at the same job, around the same people & knowing in your gut you should be elsewhere. Please chase that feeling, you won’t regret it. Something I’ve learned, it never hurts to ask. Without asking there is never a true way to receive. I’ve been with RRW for almost a month now, have a contract with a buyer client & a client who just called me who I met almost a year ago at Publix! – Things are looking brighter & for sure a whole lot sunnier!!
So by now, I am hoping you are wondering why I named this Blog “Sunnier Days” Well. I was in the midst of leaving my old broker & going to my new. When I had a little bump in the road, which was cleared up by a true saint. After I was able to change brokers, my friend Emma & I went out to take headshots for my GRAND REVEALING of going to a new brokerage. We were stopping by a store on folly that actually ended up being closed. So we wondered into the store right next to it, which I was so happy I did. — It was filled with beautiful hand-crafted jewelry from a local on FB. I was searching through all of them when, BAM, I spotted it. It was a beautiful pair of sun earrings & necklace set. I literally fell in love, I go to flip over the tag & there it was “sunnier days.” I knew in my heart this was a sign to me that those days are coming & that me changing my broker was a good move. I had told the owner that & she told me that she made that piece knowing they were coming for her too. It was meant to be. https://folly-sol.square.site/ FOLLY SOL — PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT! Here is a pic of the earrings & necklace 🙂
